I just recently ...Thank you Lord for this promise. I just recently led a funeral of a man in our congregation who spent life struggling upwards with Jesus on this highway. He overcame many things. The greatest was his doubt. He lost his wife a year ago and mourned greatly, but it increased his faith. On his death bed just a few weeks ago he testified to heavenly visions. He was nearly blind, but was seeing heaven clearly. "It's so beautiful !" He was saying to his daughter. He called on the phone to his granddaughter to admonish her to prepare for heaven. "I can see my wife waiting for me". "Make sure your children are ready". "We will be waiting for you there". In the last moments he asked his daughter "Who is that man standing beside my bed?". I fully believe that he was given a glimpse of heaven to encourage his faith and his family's faith. What a gift. The holy highway leads upward. Sometimes steep and rocky, but ever upward. And we travel not alone in our own strength but hand in hand with Jesus. Make me ever faithful Lord. Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15140955772390820048noreply@blogger.com
