You are right that we need to look no further for the argument for women than Jesus -- but unfortunately throughout history that has not always been the case. Because Jesus was male there have been those who have argued that women cannot be restored in the image of God. That is certainly contrary to the Apostle Paul in Galatians 3:18 but -- it is historically true. This blog post wasn't about arguing the case of women's salvation as much as it was about helping to present a perspective on the particular verse and the loving grace of God who would intentionally speak to women by choosing to be born in this way.Carla Sunberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17580403702359173075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5614381160733507357.post-66055747094937585602014-12-08T12:18:23.952-08:002014-12-08T12:18:23.952-08:00Thanks for this blog and sharing your discipline o...Thanks for this blog and sharing your discipline of daily scripture reading-reflection-writing with us. I've enjoyed reading your posts over the last few months. I do have one concern about this post, however. My understanding of the concept, “For that which he has not assumed he has not healed,” means that because Jesus became flesh-and-bone human, his life, death, and resurrection brings healing for all humans. We need to look no further for a specific argument for women because women are also human, just as Jesus was. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
