When We are Weak
Scripture: Rom. 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. 27 And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Observation: There are times in life when our weaknesses overwhelm our strengths. We have tried to do as much as we can within our own power and ability, but at that moment, there is an awareness of the need for Divine intervention. When it feels as if all hope is gone, we don’t know how to pray, but that is the beauty of this passage. When we are at a loss for words, the Spirit is not. With an ability to empathize with us in our deepest pain, the Spirit breathes out what our soul cannot speak. In that moment, the Father, who knows our motivations does not judge, but pours out his holy love on us, because the Spirit has revealed our mind to him. In...
